Muscle Testing
Non-Invasive Muscle Testing in Hanover, Pennsylvania
Based on internal energy, which is fundamental to traditional Chinese medicine, muscle testing is a non-invasive method of evaluating the body's imbalances and assessing its needs. It involves applying slight pressure to a large muscle for information on energy blockages, organ function, nutritional deficiencies, and food sensitivities. Additionally, it tests the body's responses to herbs and other remedies.
Testing Process
While lying face up on a table, you are then given a nutritional supplement to hold. You are asked to extend the other arm and hold it at a 90° angle. The practitioner presses down on this arm and the opposite shoulder with equal pressure to facilitate balance.
If the nutrient is something you need, you'll be able to resist the downward pressure and hold your arm rigid. If not, you won’t be able to resist the pressure. The same procedure is used to determine how much and how often you should take each supplement. This procedure is used to test the body’s responses to many stimuli, including:
• Foods (for Allergies) • Thoughts • Sounds • Colors • Emotions
Why Lay Down?
Because your body's energy is in a neutral state, testing is most accurate when you are placed in a supine position. Although testing is simple, responses may be inconclusive if your energy is blocked.
Polarity Check
Testing your polarity first reveals whether energy in the central meridian is flowing in the right direction. If not, it must be corrected before proceeding with a muscle test. A polarity check is used with each item tested, to make sure it doesn't interfere with your polarity.
Selected products are also tested as a group. While an item may test well individually, combining it with others may produce a synergistic effect that reduces or eliminates the need for it.
